The Richard Rufus of Cornwall Project

Preparing Critical Editions of Rufus' Extant Works

Supported in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities

Notae (Notes)

Keyed to the text of Metaphysica, Translatio Arabica-Latina, Versio Vulgata, with blue numbers, are notes. In particular, notes are used in cases when, although Rufus is not quoting Aristotle directly, his exposition strongly suggests that his copy of Aristotle had a reading we would otherwise reject. Where the notes include quotations, these do not appear on the page unless the reader clicks on them. Clicking once on a series of highlighted blue dots will reveal the material that has been omitted; clicking twice conceals it once again.
